REmake Jewelry Workshop: Alternative Materials & Cold Connection
Time & Location
About the Event
In this 1 Day workshop students will explore how to work with a variety of materials to create wearable pieces of jewelry. Each student will learn how to cut, drill or pierce materials with the appropriate tools, explore connecting materials (without the use of glue) using rivets, tabs, or jump-rings.
Since this is a free workshop in conjunction with the RJM South Florida Project, we ask interested artists to submit a samples of their work and a resume (Jewelry making experience is a plus but not necessary). Selected artists must also commit to attend the full workshop as well as the Kickoff Party/Symposium Saturday January 4th 10am-2pm at Lighthouse ArtCenter, which will provide valuable information as to why you are remaking this jewelry. Also Artist will be required to make at least one piece that will be donated to the Exhibition at Lighthouse ArtCenter on March 19th.
