About the Event
Green Halloween Costume Contest Details:
What is it?
This online event is a collaboration between Resource Depot and Green Garments to highlight individuals who are being green in our community. Philanthropy Tank program, Green Garments, is a student-run group which specializes in upcycling clothing to give them new life.
What are the prizes for winners?
Participants have the chance to either win a $25 gift card to Amazon or Resource Depot!!
What are the criteria?
- Participants must live in Palm Beach County
- Costume must be made from at least 50% upcycled materials
- Deadline = November 1st at 4pm
How do you participate?
- Use upcycled materials to make your costume (need materials? Come on by to Resource Depot to see what we have!)
- Take a picture of yourself wearing your upcycled costume
- Between October 10th and November 1st, post the picture of your costume on Instagram with a short description of the materials used
- THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART! You must tag @ResourceDepot and @greengarments.pbc to be considered for the contest
How are winners selected?
- On the 31st, the top 10 costumes will be selected by our staff based on creativity, originality and dedication to being green
- On Nov. 1st, those top 10 participants will be shared on Resource Depot's instagram account with a poll for the public to vote!
- The poll closes on Saturday November 5th at 10am, and the winners will be announced on instagram!
- Winners will be contacted via DMs to claim their prizes :)
