Crafts & Connection: Grandparents Day Event

Join us for a free, hands-on event with Humana and Resource Depot designed especially for grandparents and grandchildren to connect through creativity, sustainability, and shared memories.

Choose from one of two simple, age-friendly projects and leave with a handmade take-home treasure that celebrates their special bond. 

Families can sign up for one of five 45-minute time slots offered on the hour. Please select one ticket per family registration below.

Family Portrait Wall Hanging:  Using cardboard scraps, fabric or wallpaper samples, buttons, ribbon, and cutouts from old magazines, participants will create a unique wall-hanging portrait collage. This hands-on activity invites grandparents and grandchildren to craft stylized fabric portraits of one another, using upcycled textures and materials to celebrate their relationship in a fun and creative way.
