Below is a list of general categories of items we accept.
All categories include a few exceptions,
so be sure to click on each one for full details.
If ever you are in doubt about an item you are donating, please contact us!
Donating items we do not accept puts additional strain on our small non profit as we have to allocate resources and staff to properly disposing the item.
We cannot accept any items that are
unclean, moldy, toxic, hazardous, smelly, rotten/expired, or dangerous.

Costumes
Halloween (adult/kids) Theatre Costumes, Items for Dress Up (purses, jewelry, feather boas, ballet skirts/tutus, superhero capes)
Seasonal Acceptance
Women's clothing and shoes are only accepted during our annual REfashion Weekend collection (Nov -Feb)

H&M will take clothing in exchange for vouchers, but do not take leather or shoes

Madewell accepts jeans in exchange for vouchers, and you can ship your old jeans to Blue Jeans Go Green

A Special Note About Plastic and Glass Containers
Glass and certain plastic containers not found on our list can be recycled in your curbside recycling.
Yes, while many items that we do not accept have the potential for creative reuse,
we have determined there is limited demand for these items.

Electronics
Conditional Acceptance
We find that many electronic items that are donated end up being no longer usable, repairable, or compatible with current technology.
For that reason, if you have a current, working electronic item to donate,
you must complete our donation inquiry form to upload details and photos or
call 561-882-0090 ext. 103 to discuss any electronic donations.
We do not accept:
Non-updatable, non-working electronics, cell phones, printers, chargers and cords with outdated connections (ex: 30-pin Apple, Mini USB, unknown cords), Batteries
Where then?

Household batteries and cell phones can be recycled at Home Depot, Lowe's, Verizon, and Staples in partnership with Call-2-Recycle

Rechargeable batteries may be brought to any of the seven Solid Waste Authority's Home Chemical and Recycling Centers.

Mobile phone batteries and other non-working electronics can be brought to Solid Waste Authority’s Home Chemical and Recycling Centers during normal operating hours and simply place them in the marked electronics area provided, or they can be recycled at Excess IT, STS Electronics, Staples, and Best Buy.

Select devices can be traded in or recycled at Apple or Microsoft stores.
Fabric & Sewing

We cannot accept fabric donations that are covered with pet hair, have smoke or mildew odors,
or are damp, moldy or stained.

Select CVS, Walgreens and other pharmacy locations may be able to help with medicine disposal or search Pill Drop Locations in your area.

Plastic Grocery Bags can be put in the green bins in front of most Publix locations or at SWA's Hazardous Waste facilities.
