About the Event
Join our GalleRE artist Autumn Kioti in exploring some of our materials and constructing simple collagraphs to print from. A collagraph print is made by gluing different textural materials to cardboard and creating a relief collage. During the inking process the ink will rub off surfaces that are smooth or higher and stay on surfaces that hold more ink, at edges and at lower points thus creating the image. We will be using a basic table top press to print, but we are able to still get some lovely results. Participants will experiment with imagery, words or abstract forms, it’s about playing around with the materials and the process. Each participant should walk away with at least one plate and a few prints. All materials included. *Masks required
