Adult GalleRE Workshop: Scrap Magic

Join us with Local Fiber Artist Johanna Fox taking scraps of fabric, thread, and yarn to make new usable fabric pieces. Inspired by our Catwalk Exhibition, participants will learn to use water soluble fabric to create upcycled patches. No sewing experience necessary. All supplies provided. Advanced registration required, registration closes Friday, May at 16pm. Ages 16 +    

Feel bad about throwing away yarn, fabric, and thread scraps after a project? Here is a fun way to upcycle all those pieces. Participants will have the opportunity to play with all the lovely and colorful scraps we have here at Resource Depot and compose two different pieces that they could then take home an attach to a garment, use as a patch, or make into wearable art.  Gain knowledge on how to use water soluble fabric and be show some samples of the endless possibilities of this material.
