Spring Makers Market
at Resource Depot
Saturday April 24, 2021
9am - 4pm
The Makers Market is an opportunity for our creative vendors to showcase their unique wares and give the community a chance to own or give as a gift some wonderful local handmade items.
Enjoy socially-distanced, outdoor shopping as well as our Materials Marketplace and TreasuRE Boutique.
Do you make handmade, unique things?
We are currently looking for arts/crafts, food vendors and musicians who would like to be a part of the 3rd Makers Market at Resource Depot (especially vendors that incorporate reuse/repurposing in their work). We will also have a two-week long Pop Up Consignment Shop to showcase vendors that specifically make handmade 'wearables' in honor of REfashion week!
To apply, please read the instructions below.
The application link is located at the bottom of the page.
Outdoor Vendors at Resource Depot: Saturday, April 24th from 9 am to 4 pm
Thanks for your interest in the 3rd Makers Market at Resource Depot! Please read through the following information before submitting an application.
ONE-DAY MAKERS MARKET OUTDOOR BOOTH (direct sales):
Approximately 15-18 outdoor booth spaces will be available for vendors on the north-side parking lot of Resource Depot on Saturday, April 24th from 9 am to 4 pm. The outdoor booths will be approximately the size of a parking lot space (10’ wide x 15’ deep). Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables for their booth. Resource Depot has a limited number of 6’ tables available (first come/first serve) and will provide each booth with 1-2 folding chairs, if requested. Bringing your own 10’ x 10’ tent is encouraged, but not necessary, and additional table(s) or displays that will fit within the allotted space are allowed. All tents must be anchored securely. Vendors are responsible for all aspects of setting up and making sales from your booth for the duration of the event while following social distancing and mask-wearing when social distance guidelines cannot be met.
Booth vendor set-up will start at 6:30 am. on April 24th. All vendors must have their display set up and ready for customers by 9 am. Vendors may not begin breaking down their display until the event has ended at 4 pm. If you break down early, you may not be accepted for future shows.
Vendors will need to be prepared to carry (or wheel) their things to their spaces from the west entrance of the parking lot off Florida Avenue. If you have work that is especially cumbersome or heavy, email Savannah at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to place you in a convenient spot. We will have several wagons and carts available to help with load-in.
We will allow vendors to share spaces, with prior approval. Please email us before applying at email@example.com for instructions.
LOOKING TO PERFORM?
If you are a musician and wish to perform at our event, please email Savannah at firstname.lastname@example.org!
VENDOR FEE FOR OUTDOOR BOOTH: $35/SINGLE; $65/DOUBLE
(Limited electric access available for an additional fee)
We receive more applications than we can accept, and we work hard to strike the right balance of vendors for our shoppers. We favor vendors who make unique, handmade, giftable items that are fresh and unexpected, or even edgy and quirky. We also accept vendors that sell baked goods or confections. Being a creative reuse center, we give preference to quality work that promotes reuse or repurposing, but it is not a requirement to apply. We also allow vendors to sell some vintage items. However, we do not accept vendors who resell items made entirely by someone else (e.g., imported or wholesale items). To be clear, it's okay to buy mass-produced T-shirts and screen print them with your own designs. It's not okay to buy jewelry or clothing that's handmade in another country and sell it as your own work. If you think there is any grey area with what you make/sell, be sure to address this on your application. We also limit the number of vendors who sell within a single category (e.g., jewelry and soaps/bath/beauty). All applicants must submit photos of their work that are representative of what they would offer for sale at the Makers Market.
There is not an application processing fee, however, should you be selected, you must pay your vendor fee within a week of receiving your acceptance in order to reserve your spot.
APPLICATIONS OPEN: TUESDAY, JANUARY 12th
DEADLINE TO APPLY: MONDAY, MARCH 1st
VENDOR NOTIFICATION: MID MARCH 2021
