Holiday Makers Market
at Resource Depot
Saturday, December 5
9am - 4pm
The Makers Market is an opportunity for our creative vendors to showcase their unique wares and give the community a chance to own or give as a gift some wonderful local handmade items.
Enjoy socially-distanced, outdoor shopping as well as our Materials Marketplace and TreasuRE Boutique.
Do you make handmade, unique things?
We are currently looking for arts/crafts, food vendors and musicians who would like to be a part of the 2nd Makers Market at Resource Depot (especially vendors that incorporate reuse/repurposing in their work).
To apply, please read the instructions below.
The application link is located at the bottom of the page.
Outdoor Vendors at Resource Depot: Saturday, December 5th from 9 am to 4 pm
Pop-Up Shop: Saturday December 5th - December 12th in the GalleRE at Resource Depot during shopping hours
Thanks for your interest in the 2nd Holiday Makers Market at Resource Depot! Due to current CDC guidelines regarding gathering in the time of COVID, we will be offering two ways to participate in our 2020 Makers Market:
One-Day Outdoor Booth (direct sales) or One-Week Pop-Up Shop (by consignment).
One-Day Outdoor Booth: Saturday, December 5th from 9 am to 4 pm
Approximately 15-18 outdoor booth spaces will be available for vendors on the north-side parking lot of Resource Depot on Saturday, December 5th from 9 am to 4 pm. The outdoor booths will be approximately the size of a parking lot space (10’ wide x 15’ deep). Bringing your own 10’ x 10’ tent is encouraged, but not necessary, and additional table(s) or displays that will fit within the allotted space are allowed. All tents must be anchored securely. Resource Depot has a limited number of 6’ tables available (first come/first serve) and will provide each booth with 1-2 folding chairs, if requested. Vendors are responsible for all aspects of setting up and making sales from your booth for the duration of the event while following social distancing and mask-wearing when social distance guidelines cannot be met.
Booth vendor set-up will start at 6:30 am. on December 5th. All vendors must have their display set up and ready for customers by 9 am. Vendors may not begin breaking down their display until the event has ended at 4 pm. If you break down early, you may not be accepted for future shows.
Vendors will need to be prepared to carry (or wheel) their things to their spaces from the west entrance of the parking lot off Florida Avenue. If you have work that is especially cumbersome or heavy, email Savannah at and we will try to place you in a convenient spot. We will have several wagons and carts available to help with load-in.
VENDOR FEE FOR OUTDOOR BOOTH: $35/SINGLE; $65/DOUBLE
(Limited electric access available for an additional fee)
ONE-WEEK POP-UP SHOP:
Saturday, December 5th- Saturday, December 12th in the GalleRE during shopping hours. Approximately 12-15 spaces will be available for vendors to consign work in a Pop-Up Shop in Resource Depot’s GalleRE space, opening the same day as the Makers Market. The Pop-Up Shop will be available to the public during shopping hours from Saturday, December 5th to Saturday, December 12th. Indoor vendor spaces include a 6’ x 4’ space for vendors to display work (either table or wall). Vendors will not be present to sell in-person and all sales will be conducted by Resource Depot. Due to this sales arrangement, Resource Depot will take 40% commission on all work sold in the Pop-Up Shop using a special tagging and inventory system for this purpose.
Vendors will be able to set up their display for the Pop-Up by appointment on Friday, December 4th between the hours of 9 am-3 pm. All vendors must have their display set up and ready for customers by 9 am on Saturday, December 5th. Vendors may not begin breaking down their display until the event has ended on Saturday, December 12th. If you break down early, you may not be accepted for future shows.

VENDOR FEE FOR INDOOR POP-UP BOOTH: $15 BOOTH FEE + 40% COMMISSION ON SALES

OPPORTUNITIES TO SELL AT MAKERS MARKET AND POP-UP SHOP:
Limited opportunities may be available for those vendors participating in the Makers Market event to also consign some work for the Pop-Up Shop to be on display for sale following the Makers Market through December 12. The $15 booth fee for the Pop-Up Shop would be waived; however Resource Depot would still retain 40% commission on sales resulting from the Pop-Up Shop. If interested in being considered for this opportunity, please indicate on your application form.
SHARING SPACE (OUTDOOR VENDORS ONLY):
We will allow vendors to share spaces, with prior approval. Please email us before applying at firstname.lastname@example.org for instructions.
We receive more applications than we can accept, and we work hard to strike the right balance of vendors for our shoppers. We favor vendors who make unique, handmade, giftable items that are fresh and unexpected, or even edgy and quirky. We also accept vendors that sell baked goods or confections. Being a creative reuse center, we give preference to quality work that promotes reuse or repurposing, but it is not a requirement to apply. We also allow vendors to sell some vintage items. However, we do not accept vendors who resell items made entirely by someone else (e.g., imported or wholesale items). To be clear, it's okay to buy mass-produced T-shirts and screen print them with your own designs. It's not okay to buy jewelry or clothing that's handmade in another country and sell it as your own work. If you think there is any grey area with what you make/sell, be sure to address this on your application. We also limit the number of vendors who sell within a single category (e.g., jewelry and soaps/bath/beauty). All applicants must submit photos of their work that are representative of what they would offer for sale at the Makers Market.
There is not an application processing fee, however, should you be selected, you must pay your vendor fee within a week of receiving your acceptance in order to reserve your spot.
APPLICATIONS OPEN: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7th
DEADLINE TO APPLY: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28th
VENDOR NOTIFICATION: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd
